Why the @#&! Do You Paint?

Gladstone Hotel

1214 Queen Street West, Toronto

7pm - 10pm

October 10th - November 24th

The Gladstone’s 5th annual Why the @#&! Do You Paint? juried painting exhibition explores the theme “what does it all mean?”. The introduction of the camera aided in changing the focus of painting away from representation and realism towards many different forms of expression. With this, the meaning of the work has surpassed the aesthetics. Works in the exhibition focus on the meaning or message within the work, and are painted to “perfection.”
